sajnan aj fer wardi pa ke - kam ik ghair kanooni keta
For all that I have heard and read about General Rani and her Agha Jani, I believe that beneath all the lust, pleasure and orgy, there existed a very strong feeling of adore and admiration in her heart for her Agha Jani. The one who gets a chance to rule a nation state is definitely an exciting person and possesses some personality traits that are exceptional and so any ruler, even the most demonized as Yahya has his fans and admirers.
This old belief of mine was renewed in memory by another admirer and adorer of another man in uniform, who for his love and admiration for his Czar put his repute, name and persona at stake, to let his czar axe the chief justice - and this act of Naeem Bokhari will go down in the history as another sacrifice of an admirer for his beloved. I am not going to delve into what Mr. Bokhari might have obtained or will obtain or his brother does being in PCB, to me the price he has paid is simply priceless.
To put the record straight, I strongly believe that issues like Wedding feasts and Basants are neither the business of judiciary nor of the government and these are things both should stay away from. So, the publicity that the media, especially Urdu press, gave to such suo-moto stuff was nothing more than a crap praising another crap and definitely nothing more than a footnote on our collective intellectual capacity.
However, amidst this entire media circus of basant etc., came the decisions and cases like Steel Mill's privatization, issue of illegal detainees' and issues pertaining to law and order and corruption and inefficiency of police and administration. This must have pinched the bureaucracy, the house of Gujrat Sharif, the prime minister, in general every one in the establishment and being the oligarch of the oligarchy, the czar must have felt the pinch the most.
And there came another admirer to sooth the nerves of his beloved and to please his ruler. Mr. Bukhari jumped in, wrote a letter and czar pounced on this to slaughter the pincher. In the end, Mr. Iftikhar Hussain's office and Mr. Naeem Bukhari's repute, pride and honor are no more. Long live the czar!!!
